Author: Padma Shri Dr Bannan̄je Gōvindācāryara
(A special analytical interpretation of Śrī Trivikrama paṇḍitācāryara’s “Tatvapradīpa”)
It is wide known that the creator of Mahābhārata, Bhagavān Śrī vēdavyāsa, is also the composer of the Brahmasūtras. The Brahmasūtras are also known as Vēdānta sūtras. There are individual commentaries on the Brahmasūtras, aligned with their philosophical outlook, by ācārya trio.
The commentary on the Brahmasūtras composed by Shri Ācharya Madhwa proved cryptic to even renowned scholars. It was then that Śrī Trivikrama paṇḍitācāryara, one of Shri Ācharya Madhwa’s pet disciples, based on his learnings from the Ācārya himself, went on to compose an analytical treatise called ‘Tatvapradīpa’ in order to bring the message implicit in Ācārya’s commentary, to the common people’s reach.
Padma Shri Dr Bannan̄je Gōvindācāryara‘s ‘Tatvacandrikā’ is a treatise that sheds new light on Śrī Trivikrama paṇḍitācāryara’s work which has been around for more than seven centuries now.
The first volume of ‘Tatvacandrikā’ covering a part of the related work, is being released now at Śrī-Kṛṣṇa-Maṭha, Uḍupi, by Paryaya Petadipathi H.H Śrī Viśvēśa thērthāru of Pejavara-adokshja Matha, on the 16th of November 2016 between 4:30pm to 7:30pm, in the holy presence of other saints and scholars. It is our privilege and pleasure that a wonderful analysis of a seven centuries old work is being composed within our lifetime.
This is an open invitation to all those who are spiritually and philosophically inclined to attend the function…
